The Teeth Whitening Procedure

Following the placement of an order we will send you a special impression kit. From here the procedure is the same as at the dentist. An impression is taken in the same way your dentist would but in the comfort of your own home by yourself or with the help of a friend using our easy to follow instructions. The impression is returned to teeth whitening online in the pre-addressed mailbag provided where we will construct a set of plastic bleaching trays custom made for your mouth. These trays are mailed back to you along with your choice of the same whitening kits that your dentist uses and easy to follow instructions.

Why do we need to make custom fit bleaching trays instead of using heat-moulded trays like the supermarket/pharmacy products?

Heat-moulded trays don’t fit well enough to direct the gel evenly over the teeth so it is impossible to get an even result and much more gel is used than is really needed. This is why your dentist will only use custom-made trays and also because the professional whitening products are much stronger than over the counter products and may irritate the gums. So custom-made trays only fit over the teeth and do not cover the gums.
